RTC to Auction Bad Loans: Troubled loans with book values totaling more than $500 million formerly held by failed savings and loans will be auctioned Sept. 9 in Los Angeles by the federal Resolution Trust Corp. The auction, the agency’s largest so far, will sell consumer loans, unsecured loans and a variety of home and commercial real estate loans. The book values of the loans range from $125,000 to $22 million. For information, call 1-800-264-3683.
