Man Fatally Shot and Son Wounded

A father and son were found shot in their Lancaster apartment Sunday evening, and the father later died of his wounds, authorities said.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies, responding to reports of shots, discovered the pair in their apartment in the 800 block of East Avenue J-12 about 7:40 p.m., sheriff’s Sgt. Bob Stoneman said.
The two were taken to Antelope Valley Hospital Medical Center, where the father--described as a man in his 50s--died, Stoneman said. No other information was available.
