Young Musicians: A 62-piece orchestra made up of mostly Southern California children whose average age is 11 will train with composers John Williams and Henry Mancini and several performers for the cable TV concert “Disney’s Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra,” Disney Channel President John Cooke told TV critics Tuesday in Century City. The children will attend a weeklong summer music camp at Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles later this month and perform at Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena on Aug. 2 for the one-hour special airing in September.
