In calling Blitzstein an Anglo, you denied his heritage as a Ukrainian and a Jew.
It has become common of late to dump all whites into a single ethnic group. This, however, is certainly an erroneous assumption. American whites, like other races, represent people of different ethnic groups. According to the 1980 census, only 22.1% of Americans were of English descent.
It is insensitive to place every member of a particular race into one group. I seriously doubt that a Korean-American would enjoy being labeled Chinese. If the term white is disliked, European-American would be more appropriate.
