Verdugo Hills Triumphs in American Legion Play, 7-3

Robb Turner banged out four hits and drove in three runs Friday to lead the Verdugo Hills American Legion baseball team to a 7-3 victory over Sun Valley in an American Legion District 20 Eastern Division game at Glendale High.
Verdugo Hills (18-3) pounded out 17 hits, including three each by Yves Brancheau and J.R. Workman. Josh Canale was two for three with a homer for Verdugo Hills and left-hander Jim Parque (6-1) earned the victory.
Michael LaBrunda and Ernie Bueno each had two hits for Sun Valley.
