Accounting Firms’ Growth is Slowing: According to a survey by the Public Accounting Report newsletter, revenue has fallen in the past year at nearly 25% of the nation’s top accounting firms. At the Big Six companies, revenues grew by an average 3.5%. In total revenues, Arthur Anderson ranks as No. 1; however, Ernst & Young’s public accounting practice is the largest, with $1.7 billion in revenue.
