Raid Nets 3 Suspects, Large Cocaine Cache

ANAHEIM — More than 770 pounds of packaged cocaine and three Colombian nationals were seized Monday night in an affluent home in Anaheim Hills area by a raiding party of 40 FBI agents and Anaheim police. The drug has a street value of $10 million, agents said.
FBI agent Tom Parker said “in an operation like this there are invariably other individuals involved. The suspects we seized were directly involved only in warehousing and we expect other arrests.
The raid was kept secret even from Anaheim patrol officers at the police station until FBI agents admitted newsreel photographers.
“The standard procedure,” said Parker, “is to find a location like this which will not stand out, then warehouse the stuaff until such time as they can distribute it to their networks-getting it out to the user population.”
