Call Her the Immaterial Girl

O’Connor’s interview only proved just how silly and pretentious today’s pop stars can be. When Hilburn asked her about the U.S. presidential election, the ever-political O’Connor gave the same blah reply that Bruce Springsteen recently gave: “It’s like a circus.”

It seems that these two “inspirational artists” are stuck in yesterday’s apathy. The youth of America, now more than ever, need to “rock the vote.” (And vote for Bill Clinton!)
