Weaned From Halloween: Oingo Boingo fans will have to make new plans for Halloween. The band is suspending--at least for this year--its tradition of late-October shows at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre, where it has held Halloween-season concerts each year since 1986. Last year, a three-night stand sold about 40,000 tickets. “It’s become too much of a tradition, and traditions are meant to be broken,” said group frontman Danny Elfman. Instead, Boingo will work on its next album, expected to be released next year.
