One former and one active pro football player filed a class-action suit in New Orleans, seeking unspecified damages and an injunction requiring the NFL to grant unlimited free agency.
John Fourcade, a Saint quarterback from 1987 through 1990, was joined in his U.S. District Court lawsuit by Maurice Hurst, a former Southern University cornerback who was drafted in 1989 by the New England Patriots.
