Thomas Unterman has been named vice president and general counsel of Times Mirror Co., succeeding Daniel A. Curry, who resigned to become a Los Angeles Superior Court judge.
Unterman, who will report to Curtis A. Hessler, Times Mirror senior vice president, was a senior partner in the Los Angeles office of Morrison & Foerster, specializing in corporate and securities law.
Los Angeles-based Times Mirror owns the Los Angeles Times, Newsday and New York Newsday, the Baltimore Sun and other newspapers as well as interests in broadcast and cable television, and book and magazine publishing.
