A fund-raising open house is planned from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday for Democrat Howard Cohen, a candidate in the 38th Assembly District. Assemblyman Tom McClintock (R-Thousand Oaks), who is running for the 24th Congressional District seat, Republican Horace Heidt, a candidate in the 40th Assembly District race, and Republican Leonard H. (Len) McRoskey, a candidate in the 23rd state Senate District race, will speak at a luncheon hosted by the Encino Republican Women’s Club, Federated from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sportsmen’s Lodge, 12825 Ventura Blvd., in Studio City.
