What embarrasses us? An informal survey reveals the top 10 things most likely to make people blush. They are:

* Crying at the movies (mostly mentioned by men).

* Buying condoms (mentioned by women).

* Buying sanitary pads or tampons (mentioned by men).

* Renting X-rated movies or browsing in the “adult” section.

* Asking friends not to smoke in your home. Also, being asked not to smoke.

* Hearing racist or insensitive remarks (both sexes).

* A pimple.

* Mothers (both sexes).

* Wearing the wrong clothes at a given occasion.

* Getting weighed with others nearby.

* Toilet paper on your shoe.

* Treating 10 of your closest friends to dinner and your credit card is refused because you’re over your limit.

* Discovering a hunk of spinach in your teeth and nobody told you.

* Finding half moons of sweat under your armpits after a job interview.
