A 36-year-old Lancaster man was killed early Monday when he lost control of his car near Edwards Air Force Base, authorities said.
The man, whose name was not released pending notification of relatives, was driving north on 140th Street East near Avenue G about 5:20 a.m. when his car veered toward the right shoulder, California Highway Patrol Lt. Dick Stockham said. Stockham said the driver apparently over-corrected, causing the car to overturn. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the car and died at the scene.
