Eastman Kodak Co. reported improved third-quarter revenue and earnings.
After a $141-million restructuring charge, net income was $189 million, or 58 cents a share. In the same period last year, the leading photographic firm reported a loss of $118 million, or 37 cents a share, after a restructuring charge of $435 million, or $1.34 a share. Sales edged up 5% to $5.2 billion, from $4.9 billion last year.
With the special charges excluded from both quarters, the Rochester, N.Y.-based firm’s profit advanced at about the same rate as sales.
