Northridge Woman, 25, Dies in Accident

A 25-year-old Northridge woman was fatally injured in a car crash at a Tarzana intersection, the Los Angeles Police Department said Saturday.
A Volkswagen traveling south on Wilbur Avenue collided with a Honda as it turned left onto Oxnard Street at 5:15 p.m. Friday, Officer Bill Mulvihill said. Kristin Kay, the driver of the Honda, was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where she died of massive spinal injuries.
The driver of the Volkswagen, James Simeone, 23, of Northridge, escaped injury, Mulvihill said. Officers did not cite Simeone but are still investigating the crash.
