Top Players Fall in Senior Hardcourt

The best of the field found out they weren’t good enough in the finals of the Senior Hardcourt tournament at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club Sunday.
Top-seeded Clark Robinson lost in the men’s 45 singles match. No. 1 Carol Baily fell in the women’s 45 singles finale. Robinson of Bountiful, Utah, lost to unseeded Art Thomsom of Englewood, Colo., 4-6, 7-6, 6-2. Baily of Steamboat Springs, Colo., lost to No. 2 Karen Gallagher of Vail, Colo., 6-3, 4-6, 6-0.
