Services for Musick to Be Held Monday

SANTA ANA — A memorial service for former Orange County Sheriff James A. Musick, who died Tuesday, will be Monday at Calvary Chapel in Santa Ana.
Musick, who was 82, was elected sheriff seven times and served for 28 years before retiring in 1975. He was also a former professional football player.
The service begins at 11 a.m. at the church, 3800 S. Fairview St. A private graveside service will precede the public service, Sheriff’s Lt. Dick Olson said.
In lieu of flowers, Musick’s family has requested that donations be made in the former sheriff’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Assn. of Orange County, 2540 N. Santiago Blvd., Orange, Calif. 92667.
