Bill Maher, Wil Shriner, Jeff Joseph, Rick Overton and the ACE Trucking Company, featuring Fred Willard, next month will perform in a program called Los Angeles Comedy Week, to benefit the Daniel Freeman Hospitals Emergency Relief Week Fund.
Daniel Freeman Hospitals, a nonprofit organization that practices an open-door policy that does not turn away the uninsured, was particularly hard hit by last April’s riots, treating more than 250 victims at an estimated cost of $1.5 million.
Los Angeles Comedy Week will feature one show per night beginning with a VIP show Jan. 10 at the Santa Monica Improvisation, 321 Santa Monica Blvd. Performances continue in Santa Monica through Jan. 14, with the Jan. 12 show taking place at the Hollywood Improvisation, 8162 Melrose Ave.
Tickets for the VIP night are $100, and $50 and $25 for other nights. All proceeds go to Daniel Freeman Hospitals. Information: (310) 451-3933 or (310) 451-4086.
