Walt Disney World publicist John Dreyer has been promoted to vice president of corporate communications for Walt Disney Co. in Burbank.
Dreyer, a native of Cincinnati who joined the Florida entertainment resort as a publicist in 1977, has been manager of publicity since 1988.
Erwin D. Okun, senior vice president of corporate communications, died of cancer Nov. 1, and Dreyer will share duties as company spokesman with Thomas J. Deegan, who continues as a vice president of corporate communications.
