SAN FERNANDO VALLEY : Man Sentenced in 1991 Robbery Spree
- Share via
A Beverly Hills man has been sentenced to 19 years in prison for a San Fernando Valley robbery spree conducted from the back of a chauffeured limousine.
Ian Seth Goldstein, 24, was convicted by a Van Nuys Superior Court jury of using a pistol to rob several Valley fast-food stores, a grocery and a coin shop in August, 1991.
According to testimony, Goldstein hired a white stretch limousine to transport him during the two-day robbery spree. The limo driver eventually called police when he became suspicious of Goldstein’s actions, Deputy Dist. Atty. Carol Fisch said.
Officials said Goldstein apparently used proceeds from the robberies to pay for the limo.
