A civil rights leader and an attorney for owner Marge Schott of the Cincinnati Reds said they were encouraged during a two-hour meeting, at which they discussed how to improve race relations.
“I think they’ll be doing several constructive things, and I think you’ll hear of one very soon,” said Frank Allison, president of the Cincinnati chapter of the NAACP.
