Treasury Note Yields Drop: Yields on five-year Treasury notes fell at auction to the lowest level since October. The high yield was 6.03%, down from 6.07% at the last auction on Nov. 24. It was the lowest rate since five-year notes averaged 5.84% on Oct. 28. The notes will carry a coupon interest rate of 6%, with each $10,000 in face value selling for $9,987.20. A total of $11.26 billion in notes were sold, out of bids totaling $24.46 billion.
