PREP ROUNDUP : Thousand Oaks Tops No. 1 Brea-Olinda

Marion Jones scored 38 points to lead Thousand Oaks to a 59-51 victory over Brea-Olinda, the No. 1-ranked team in Orange County, in the championship game of the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions girls’ basketball tournament Wednesday night.
The loss snapped a 31-game winning streak for Brea-Olinda. Nicole Erickson scored 22 points to lead the Ladycats (11-1), who were tied at 49-49 with 3 minutes 6 seconds to play when Jones scored the final 10 points for Thousand Oaks (8-0).
In the Bonita Vista girls’ basketball tournament:
Mater Dei 87, Bonita Vista 58--Adrienne Botana made seven three-pointers and scored 28 points to lead Mater Dei (6-2) to a third-place finish.
In the La Puente tournament:
El Dorado 65, Pomona Garey 55--Tournament MVP Nicole DeBruijn scored 23 points for El Dorado (11-0) in the championship game.
In the Burbank Bellarmine-Jefferson boys’ basketball tournament:
Capistrano Valley Christian 68, Village Christian 63--MVP Marquis Patterson had 16 points and 10 assists to lead the Eagles (10-1) to the championship.
In the San Bernardino Aquinas tournament:
Calvary Chapel 100, San Bernardino Aquinas 66--Sabe Younger had 32 points and 14 rebounds for Calvary Chapel (5-8) in the third-place game.
