X-rays of Mitchell Butler’s injured left wrist were negative, but Jim Puffer, UCLA team physician, said Butler might miss the Bruins’ game at Pittsburgh next Monday night.
Butler, who injured his wrist last month, aggravated the injury Tuesday night in the Bruins’ 80-73 victory over Cal State Northridge.
UCLA also announced that reserve center Ike Nwankwo, a freshman from Houston, will be a redshirt because of an arm injury suffered before he enrolled at UCLA.
Nwankwo said he put his left arm through a window last summer, severing tendons and suffering nerve damage below the elbow. He still experiences numbness in the ring and little fingers of his left hand, he said.
