An NHL game that was to have been played in Birmingham, Ala., next Tuesday was rescheduled because of poor ticket sales. Instead, the game between the St. Louis Blues and Hartford Whalers will be played on Feb. 8 in Peoria, Ill., with Hartford as the home team.

Randy Tolbert of Events, Inc., a Dallas-based promotions company, said: “I think that only about 1,400 tickets had been sold” for an arena that seats about 17,000.
