The German Swimming Federation has threatened to sue the sport’s world governing body unless it lifts an 18-month ban imposed on a German swimmer accused of doping. The International Swimming Federation (FINA) imposed the ban on 1988 Olympic silver medalist Astrid Strauss, although she had already served a six-month suspension given by the German federation.
