AND ONE MORE THING: You probably thought that Rhino Records had bottomed out on cheesy ‘70s songs with its monster 15-volume “Have a Nice Day” series. Think again. Four more “Have a Nice Day” CDs are on their way in March.
“We thought 15 was enough, but people keep asking for more,” says Rhino A&R; director Gary Stewart. “These (new) sets are largely made up of songs we were unable to license before.”
Among the timeless treasures: “Vehicle” by the Ides of March, “Ride Captain Ride” by Blues Image and “Smokin’ in the Boys Room” by the immortal Brownsville Station. And there’s more! Rhino is also about to release best-of compilations by Iron Butterfly (titled “Light and Heavy”) and Vanilla Fudge (“Psychedelic Sundae”).
