Bush Names 2 to Education Commission

WASHINGTON — President Bush has made two appointments to the National Commission on Independent Higher Education, the White House announced Friday.
They are:
* William J. Keating of Cincinnati, chairman of the board and publisher of the Cincinnati Enquirer from 1990 to 1992 and chairman of the board of the Associated Press from 1987 to 1992.
* Carolynn Reid-Wallace of Washington, D.C., assistant secretary for Postsecondary Education at the U.S. Department of Education and vice chancellor and professor of English at New York University from 1987 to 1991.
