RELIGION AND POLITICS

Throughout history, moral collapses preceded the fall of great nations. As we embrace “safe sex,” our teens are getting pregnant at alarming rates, abortions now number in the multimillions and AIDS is sweeping across the nation. Pornography and the incidence of rape and the battering of women are on the rise. Divorce, the single-parent family and the “blended” family are the norm.
I choose to stand for abstinence, fathers and mothers raising their children together and teaching them that there’s a difference between right and wrong, as clearly stated in the Bible.
Why is it OK for you to stand up for what you believe in, but when I take an active part in the political process, it’s an attempt to be “controlling”?
