Danish Delight: In Copenhagen, Meryl Streep has been tabbed as winner of the 1993 Rungstedlund Prize, named after the home of Karen Blixen, the writer she played in “Out of Africa.” Royalties from the Academy Award-winning film, and the ensuing interest in Blixen’s works, enabled the Rungstedlund Foundation to open the late writer’s birthplace as a museum in 1991. Streep is the first foreigner to receive the $3,900 prize, which she will pick up next month when she is in Denmark on another film project.
