The author’s problem finding Evian water in bottles in Evian, France, is easy to understand. Had he but known Evian’s water is free for the taking from the source, located in a lovely green setting up the hill from the main drag through town. Many signs point the way. Townspeople and tourists alike fill their containers from a beautiful baroque fountain adorned by statuary of water-carrying nymphs.
