NEW ROLE? State Sen. Marian Bergeson (R-Newport Beach) says she’s now giving “careful consideration” to going along with those boosting her name as a replacement for ousted state schools Supt. Bill Honig. Some of those Bergeson supporters happen to be in the office of Gov. Pete Wilson, who will select the nominee. . . . Insiders say Bergeson has an edge because she would leave a Senate seat the GOP can hold easily.
