Dole Food Division to Move to Westlake Village

Dole Food Co. plans to move its packaged foods division to Westlake Village from San Francisco, where the company already has its corporate headquarters and its Fresh Fruit Division.

About 250 people, most of them expected to be current employees from the San Francisco operation, will probably begin work here by mid-summer, a company spokesman said.

The new workers and the 175 employees already in Westlake Village will work in offices the company has leased until its new headquarters, which will consist of 250,000 square feet of office space on 30 acres, is built in 1995.
