Spring Shows: ABC, meanwhile, is fiddling with its springtime schedule. “Home Free,” a half-hour sitcom about three generations of a family, will debut March 31 in the “Doogie Howser, M.D.” time slot (8:30 p.m. Wednesdays). “Doogie” completes its original order on March 24 and is to return in June. “Delta” reappears April 6 in the 9:30 p.m. Tuesday time period, currently occupied by “The Jackie Thomas Show.” The latter completes its episode order for the season on March 30.
