Diceon Chief to Take Long Vacation: Roland G. Matthews has decided it’s time to take a sabbatical.
The president and chief executive of circuit-board manufacturer Diceon Electronics Inc. said Wednesday that he will relinquish his titles and leave in April for a nine-month leave to travel with his wife.
“No time is a good time, but I decided I had to do (this) while I’m in good health,” said Matthews, 53. “This is something that has been planned for a long time.”
Peter S. Jonas, vice chairman and chief financial officer, will assume Matthews’ titles, and Michael S. Shimada will become chief financial officer. Matthews said he plans to return to the company as chairman and will remain an active member of the board--by teleconferences.
Diceon is based in Irvine.
