In the third-place game:

Diamond Bar 6, Irvine 4--Ryan Jones had a double for Irvine (3-2) at Glover Stadium.

In the fifth-place game:

Fountain Valley 3, El Dorado 1--Joe Hudson had two doubles for Fountain Valley (4-1), which scored all three runs in the top of the seventh. El Dorado is 3-2.

In the consolation championship:

Katella 6, University 3--Katella (4-1) rallied with four runs in the sixth for the victory. Mike Aguilar had an RBI single to tie it, 3-3, Eric Gardiner then had a sacrifice fly to give the Knights a 4-3 lead.

In other consolation games:

Cypress 11, Kennedy 9--Brian Flanagan and David Martin homered for Cypress (3-2). Kennedy (2-3) rallied with eight runs in the sixth inning to tie the score, 9-9, before Cypress scored twice in the bottom of the inning.

El Toro 10, La Quinta 5--Mike Lutterloh had two hits, a home run and five RBIs and Didgit Tuttle had two hits, three runs scored and two stolen bases for visiting El Toro (4-1).

Sunny Hills 6, Savanna 5--Mike Clark hit a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the seventh to score the tying run for host Sunny Hills (5-2), and the winning run scored on a throwing error.
