In the third-place game:
Kennedy 7, Cypress 5--Lisa Pitts scattered seven hits and had two doubles for Kennedy (3-1).
In the Brea-Olinda tournament:
La Habra 3, Whittier La Serna 0--Danielle Ortega had 17 strikeouts to lead La Habra (4-1) to a third-place finish.
Ocean View 5, Brea-Olinda 2 (6, time limit)--Lisa Dacquisto had three hits, two runs scored and a stolen base for visiting Ocean View (4-1) in the fifth-place game.
Irvine 2, Katella 0--Rebecca Smith pitched a four-hitter with 10 strikeouts for visiting Irvine (3-1) in the consolation final.
In the Corona tournament:
El Dorado 3, Riverside Norte Vista 1--Heather Hamner pitched a five-hitter with 10 strikeouts for El Dorado (4-2). Erin Brink had two hits and an RBI for El Dorado.
El Toro 4, Temecula Valley 0--Misty Lauby pitched a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts for El Toro in the seventh-place game. Kelly Bruce had three hits, three RBIs, and two stolen bases for the Chargers (5-2).
In the Costa Mesa tournament:
Costa Mesa 11, Brethren Christian 10--Ana Ospina walked with bases loaded, and Deanna Centurioni, who had tripled in three runs, scored the winning run to cap a four-run rally for host Costa Mesa (4-0) in the bottom of the seventh.
In a nonleague game:
Loara 8-9, Western 2-1--Gina Goodman had four hits, three RBIs and a run scored in the doubleheader for visiting Loara (5-0).
