The Big Trail (AMC Sunday at 7:30 a.m., again at 11:30 p.m.) A classic 1930 trek Western directed by Raoul Walsh and starring John Wayne as the leader of a wagon train on an adventure-filled journey from Missouri to Oregon. Shot in 70mm.
The People Under the Stairs (TMC Sunday at 4:30 p.m., Monday at 3 a.m., Showtime Tuesday at 8 p.m., TMC Saturday at 10 a.m. and 9 p.m.) A terrifically effective 1992 Wes Craven scare show, a virtuoso work of cinematic terror in which two engaging young people (Brandon Adams, A.J. Langer) are trapped in a decidedly sinister Edwardian mansion. (Not for children or the squeamish).
