Reducing the superfluous distribution of telephone books is a small blessing we can bestow upon our world. Seven identical telephone directories were recently deposited on my front porch. What is the natural resource and human-effort cost to produce and distribute unwanted and unused telephone books?
An improvement will be to make the books available to the public at large, i.e., phone booths and libraries, and to the general public on a request-required basis.
