BASEBALL 1993 : A Guide to the Angels

The 1992 season took a tragic turn when the team bus crashed in May and a last-place finish followed. In their 33rd season, the Angels will rely on a blend of pitching and youth to begin their long journey in the American league West.

Anaheim Stadium Expansion: Anaheim Stadium underwent a $22-million expansion in 1980, which increased its seating capacity from 43,000 to 70,000 seats.

ANGEL STARTING TEAM

The future is now for the Angel youth movement. Shortstop Gary DiSarcina, center fielder Chad Curtis and second baseman Damion Easley made impressions last season, and this year rookies Tim Salmon and J.T. Snow will be pushed into action. TELEVISION:

KTLA channel 5 will telecast 50 Angels games. KTLA also televises the Dodgers. KTLA will show one team or the other nearly every Friday, Saturday and Sunday thru the season.

TICKET INFORMATION Ticket office hours: 9 a.m to 5:30 p.m., Gate No. 1, Monday through Saturday. Advance ticket windows on field level behind home plate are open during games. Tickets ordered later can be picked up at Will Call window at Gate 1.

STADIUM LOCATION & PARKING INFORMATION Parking lot gates at Anaheim Stadium open two hours before game time. Turnstiles open 1 1/2 hours before game. There is ample parking at Anaheim Stadium.
