PREP BASEBALL ROUNDUP : Stilson’s Single in Seventh Saves Laguna Hills

Matt Stilson’s bases-loaded single with two out in the bottom of the seventh scored two runs and give host Laguna Hills a 6-5 victory over Laguna Beach in a Pacific Coast League game Tuesday.
Stilson had three hits and a run scored and Mike Messinger had a home run, two RBIs and pitched three shutout innings of relief to earn the victory for the Hawks (9-8, 5-1).
In other Pacific Coast League games:
Century 2, Trabuco Hills 1--Tom Reimers pitched a four-hitter with 10 strikeouts for Century (6-7-1, 2-2-1).
Estancia 9, Costa Mesa 3--Victor Martinez pitched a four-hitter to win his fifth game without a loss for host Estancia (10-4, 4-1).
In the Garden Grove League:
Kennedy 10, Bolsa Grande 2--Jeff Westermann (3-0) struck out 11 and walked one for Kennedy (10-7-1, 4-1).
In the Olympic League:
Orange Lutheran 11, Ontario Christian 4--Jeff Courvoisier had two triples and a home run for Orange Lutheran (10-5, 3-0).
Whittier Christian 11, Calvary Chapel 10--Tracy Hoffman doubled home Chad Callahan with the winning run in the seventh for Whittier Christian (7-7, 3-1).
In Sunset League baseball:
Edison 4, Westminster 1--Tom Barilla struck out four and walked three for Edison (11-3, 4-0).
Huntington Beach 11, Servite 3--Ryan Brannan hit two three-run home runs for host Huntington Beach (9-9, 2-3).
Ocean View 15, Santa Ana 2--Justin Brunette had four hits, including two home runs, and six RBIs for visiting Ocean View (14-4, 3-2). Jeff Buchanan had four hits and three RBIs for the Seahawks. Santa Ana is 5-11, 0-4.
