ROUNDUP : Crespi Finishes 3rd on Suppan’s 2-Hitter

Jeff Suppan pitched a two-hitter and drove in two runs as Crespi downed St. Paul, 4-0, Wednesday to take third place in the St. Paul tournament at Santa Fe Springs.
Suppan, who struck out 14 and walked two, led the Celts (13-1) with three hits, including a double and a triple.
In other high school baseball games:
Thousand Oaks 12, Westlake 4--Jamal Nichols had a home run among his four hits and stole four bases for the Lancers (11-6, 2-3) in a Marmonte League game at Thousand Oaks.
Nichols raised his league-leading stolen-base total to 25 and his home run total to three, a team high.
Newbury Park 9, Agoura 3--Keith Smith (4-2) pitched five innings and had two hits for the Panthers (10-7, 5-1) in a Marmonte League game at Agoura (3-12, 0-6). The victory moved Newbury Park into a second-place tie with idle Royal.
Buckley 13, Campbell Hall 10--David Streja’s two-run double highlighted a four-run ninth inning for Buckley in a Delphic League game at Campbell Hall.
Chaminade 11, LaSalle 3--Jason Giovannettone (triple), Casey Cote, Kevin Lohman (triple, two RBIs) and Ryan Graves had two hits for Chaminade (7-9) in a consolation game of the St. Paul tournament.
COLLEGE SOFTBALL
Moorpark 4, Bakersfield 1--Heather Santiago pitched a three-hitter and the Musketeers (11-11, 4-0) broke a 1-1 tie with three runs in the sixth inning of a Western State Conference game at Moorpark.
Wendy Baertschiger’s run-scoring single in the sixth proved to be the game-winning hit for Moorpark (11-11, 4-0).
