A COP’S TRIBUTE? Garden Grove businessman Bob Dalton has launched a drive to rename Brookhurst Elementary School as a tribute to Howard E. Dallies Jr., the city police officer killed by a gunman while making a traffic stop last month. Dalton’s father, Bill, is the lieutenant heading the task force trying to catch Dallies’ killer. . . . Mayor Frank Kessler has offered to help but warns that the school district will likely have one concern: Four other Garden Grove officers have been killed in the line of duty, and no school has been named for them.
