I’m a champion of free speech. But when I mention decency, I’m told I’m a dinosaur--an old-fashioned conservative. First, it was four-letter words that badgered us. Now we’re bombarded with verbal violence against people of all colors and orientations.
Perhaps, as was quoted in the March edition of National Geographic, “. . . democracy includes the freedom to exercise bad taste.” But where is the kindness in our lives?
