Daytime Emmy: The late Douglas Marland, a veteran daytime TV writer who worked as head writer on soaps including “As the World Turns,” “General Hospital” and “Guiding Light,” will receive a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award during the Daytime Emmy Awards on May 26. Marland was also co-creator of “Loving” and creator of the cable series “A New Day in Eden.”
