THOUSAND OAKS : Suspect Sought in Gas Station Robbery

A robber wielding a wooden club entered a Thousand Oaks gas station shortly before 1 a.m. Friday, demanded cash from the register and then fled on foot.
The armed robbery occurred at the Rancho Shell gas station at 1195 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. and is being investigated by detectives from the East Valley sheriff’s station. No one was injured. The amount of cash taken was not disclosed.
The Thousand Oaks Crime Stoppers program is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the robber’s arrest and prosecution. Tipsters, who may remain anonymous, should call 494-TALK.
