PREP VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP : Fountain Valley Needs Five Games to Defeat Edison

Morgan Lutes had 31 kills and Joon Kang had 26 to help Fountain Valley to a five-game victory over Edison in a Sunset League match Friday at Fountain Valley.

Isreal Garcia had 92 assists for the Barons (12-2, 10-2), who won 11-15, 15-13, 9-15, 15-9, 15-2.

In the Empire League:

Esperanza 3, Los Alamitos 0--Paul Nihipali had 18 kills, and Chris Pitzak had 13 for visiting Esperanza, which defeated Los Alamitos, 15-6, 15-9, 15-8. Esperanza is 11-1, 7-0. Los Alamitos is 5-5, 3-3.
