Faria Goes Wire to Wire for Main Event Victory

COSTA MESA — Mike Faria of Apple Valley won the four-lap scratch main event Friday in the weekly speedway motorcycle program at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

Faria was a wire-to-wire winner over Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa. Rob Pfetzing of Orange finished third and Luis Kossuth of Diamond Bar fourth.

Andy Northrup of Ontario won the eight-lap handicap main event. Scott Brant of Riverside was second.
