* * SWV, “It’s About Time,” RCA. If this entire album were as bold and funky as one cut, the unapologetically sassy “Blk Pudd’n,” SWV (Sisters With Voices) would have delivered a debut effort worth shouting about. Though this teen-age trio from New York patterns itself after streetwise peers from Jodeci to TLC, its own image, sound and individuality are still in the infancy stage.
New albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor) to four (excellent).
